United States : Government employees banned from using TikTok

New York: In the American city of New York, government employees were banned from using TikTok.

According to a foreign news agency, TikTok has been banned in New York due to security concerns and the ban was implemented immediately. The Cyber Command had suggested the government to ban the Tik Tok app as a security threat.

The Cyber Command is responsible for protecting the city's technical network and says that hackers using TikTok can gain access to that network.

In a statement, New York City Mayor Eric Adams described TikTok as a threat to the city's technological network.

According to the order, city agencies will have to remove the app within 30 days while the app's website will be blocked on city government-issued devices and networks.
